New projects and new products on the way!

Hello fellow readers, I know I haven't written a post since last year, o.k. it was right before the holidays, but still last year. For this I want to thank you for your patience and thank you for taking the time from your busy day to read now. Well, I do have a very good reason for not writing so often. I have been really busy adjusting to some changes. You might not see the changes from the outside, but internally (inside myself and inside the business) lots has and is happening. Change is great and I embrace it. I will be sharing more on those changes as the next few weeks unfold. After 6 years of creating custom invitations I have the opportunity to work closely with Madovar Packaging Inc. (and you will hear more about them later) in creating my own line of invitations and stationery. I will bring together my love of typography, papers, and printing methods in order to create a luxurious stationery line. The process is longer than I expected, but with their support, experience and knowledge I am very excited to create something I will be very proud of. I have learned so much in the last few years and I have lots of people to thank for that (that's a whole other article....which makes me think I should get to very soon) Let me go back to Madovar Packaging Inc. or as I like to call them The B-Boys, Bashar and Bilal Madwar - a father son team. Before I talk about what they make, I would like to talk about what makes them. Let me explain.......They are incredible human beings who unselfishly support and encourage me in all my projects. Sometimes life sends you a gift and places it right in your hands. They are a gift, a joy, and an inspiration. That is what makes them wonderful. What they make: luxurious gift boxes. I look forward to showing you their beautiful gift boxes they design and make. They use an innovative system and combine it with papers from all over the world. You will be able to discover their boxes in the boutique very shortly. So, I promise to share with you in the next few weeks the progress of my stationery collection. In the meantime, I send you all tanti baci e a presto!

Cozy autumn afternoon

Well, it's officially cold. The kids left the house with their winter coats, gloves and hats on this morning. I have to admit, autumn is my favorite time of the year. I enjoy strolling through my suburban streets and watch the neighbors prep their homes for the long winter to come, but today I have lots of work to do. via Flickr I have a long to do list and as I sit by the window and watch the brisk walkers go by, I decided to cozy up with a warm sweater and a warm cup of tea. Gotta have it! : Lollia Calm hand cream

We re-opened out doors after a few weeks of renovations and I am excited to be back. One of my favorite products (not new to the boutique) has always been one of my gotta have it! products. I wear the cream like a perfume. It's made from rich shea butter, macadamia nut, avocado oils and most importantly it's pretty! Check in as we are launching our shop online website (we also gave it a little facelift) You will be able to purchase all of my favorite products. Ciao!

Happy Father’s Day!

Well, another reason to all gather at my parents’ house Saturday night. This time was to celebrate San Giuseppe (St-Joseph) and father’s day. The celebration is especially important in Italy because during the Middle ages Sicily was plagued with a horrible drought. The people prayed to St-Joseph and on March 19th, the rain came! Since Joseph is Jesus’ father, they also celebrate father’s day.

In order to celebrate, they prepared a feast which included zepolle, a fried dough stuffed with a ricotta cream. You can find them in all Italian bakeries all over the city. They are only available a week before and after March 19th and I am not going to share how many I had so far……

J’ai un peu peur!

Et bien oui, ça fait déjà quelques mois que je n’ai pas partager avec vous. Avant les fêtes je travaillais avec une superbe agence qui m’a beaucoup aider à bâtir mon blog, mais je veux maintenant le faire toute seule. Comme une grande fille! J’ai quand même une petite peur que mes idées ne sont pas assez importantes ou intéressantes mais aujourd’hui à 35 ans, je m’en fou! Je ne vais pas essayer d’atteindre la perfection dans mon texte ou même aller m’acheter un appareil photo professionnel pour vous impressionner. Je veux partager ma vie quotidienne. Une vie de femme avec trois enfants, un conjoint et une carrière. J’aime (non, j’adore!) la bouffe, le décor, et même si je ne me considère pas une “fashionista” j’aime la mode.

Je vais parfois écriture mes billets en français, sometimes in English e anche in Italiano!

Je vous envoie de l’énergie positive et je vous souhaite une belle journée.

J’ai peur de cliquer sur “publish” mais je me pousse et voilà c’est fait!
